Poppy

Meet Poppy. My grandfather saved Poppy from an animal shelter back in '91. No one really knew her age but she had to have been at least 2-3yrs at the time. Poppy really didn't like anyone but my grandfather. My grandfather passed away on Veteran's Day 1992. Poor "Pop" was an emotional mess. She would sleep outside of my grandfather's bedroom door waiting for him to come out. She did not eat and did not want anything from anyone...until my mom came to her rescue! Poppy fell in love with my mother. My mom took her home with her and my father and lived with them for 10 years. On August 19, 2002 Poppy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I wish that I could take away my mom's pain for making the most important decision in Poppy's life. That decision was the MOST unselfish decision that my mother could have ever made....that is why I love her so much!!! I love you mom and dad... Poppy will be waiting for you both!! I would like to thank the Claremont Animal Hospital in Claremont, FL for their love and devotion to Poppy and the care that they have given to my parents.
