Creekview's Sasha Marie

My sweet angel Sasha came to me 4 years ago. She was a rescue that I immediately fell in love with. Sasha was my best friend. She accompanied me to several rescue events, she passed the test for therapy dog, and she was always by my side. She has been gone since 7/22/02 and I am still having a hard time. I still kick the toys out of the way for her to shuffle her feet across the floor, I still watch the time because her clock knew when dinner time was (I couldn't be one minute late!), and I still reach for her when I am on the couch.....she is not there. There is so much I miss about my "piggles" and everyday my heart breaks with her not in my life.....

With such emotion
Full of pain and illness
Your endless devotion

I knew you wanted
You wanted consent
You could not just leave me
Unless blessing granted

Numbly I stood there
My hands held your face
I kissed your soft, sweet head
I wanted you in peace

Pain ruled your body
But spirit was your blood
You didn't want to leave
You had such profound love

Now I had to give
Dearest one to me
I knew you were tired
Now it was time to sleep

My body trembled
Tears were blinding me
Gave my final command
Said, "Time for you to leave"

Angel you must go
You need to be free
Do not look behind you
And worry about me

She followed my words
Gently Slipped away
Abided my command
She did the other day

Tears haven't left my eyes
From a day ago
I know she is in waiting
For my day to show....
